Working Together for Safe Picnic Day

Dear Davis Community,

Picnic Day is one of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis' time-honored traditions and we're excited to be gearing up for it on Saturday, April 16. It opens our university and our city to our Aggie family and the community at large to showcase the people and activities that make us unique.

Once again, our student organizers have done an outstanding job planning and coordinating all the informative and entertaining activities for this spectacular event. Picnic Day offers something for everyone as we take pride in all our excellent students, faculty and staff contributing to our city, to this region and to California and the world.

The campus and the city continue to work together to ensure the safety of all participants. We hope every resident and visitor conducts themselves responsibly during Picnic Day 2016 so that all community members can enjoy the day. Safe and healthy choices will keep the event fun and memorable.

We wish everyone a safe time and a great experience as we all celebrate °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis together.

Sincerely,

Chancellor Linda Katehi
