... and wine on film (and for tasting)
The Center for Wine Economics at the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science announced a screening of Dinastia Vivanco: Giving Back to Wine What Wine Has Given Us.
Zev Robinson, who made the documentary about the wine, wineries and winemakers of Dinastia Vivanco in Rioja, Spain, will participate in a discussion after the screening, the organizers said.
The screening is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, June 10, in the RMI’s Sensory Theatre. The organizers said snacks will be served, and people 21 and older will be invited to taste Rioja wines. Admission is free, with registration required (this can be accomplished ).
Robinson’s documentary traces the contributions of four generations to the winery, which originated in 1915. The last two generations have built a wine museum that some people consider the finest in the world, reflecting the family’s passion for wine culture and philosophy of “giving back to wine what wine has given us.”
