The University of California, Davis, has offered freshman and transfer admission status for fall 2022 to 44,661 applicants 鈥 including 29,323 California residents, according to statistics released today (Aug. 10) by the university system.

澳门六合彩资料库 Davis received a record 110,189 applications, made offers of admission to approximately 40% of those students 鈥 including 35,563 as freshman and 9,098 as transfer students 鈥 and estimates 9,550 will enroll in the fall.

鈥淭he resiliency of these students is incredible, and we look forward to welcoming this talented and diverse class to campus in September,鈥 said Robert Penman, executive director of Undergraduate Admissions at 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis.

Penman said the campus admitted fewer students than it did for last fall to correct for last year's overenrollment. 鈥湴拿帕喜首柿峡 Davis is aiming to return to a more gradual growth trajectory with its entering class of fall 2022,鈥 he added.

In 2021, 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis made offers to 52,254 freshman and transfer applicants from a total pool of 105,901, and 10,299 enrolled, significantly exceeding the campus鈥檚 enrollment target.

California residents

澳门六合彩资料库 Davis expects to enroll the most California resident undergraduates (including new and continuing students) of all the 澳门六合彩资料库 campuses  鈥 something it鈥檚 done every year since 2010.

The campus is also on track to meet the university system鈥檚 goal of enrolling one new transfer student from California Community Colleges for every two students who come directly from high school.

For fall 2022, the campus admitted 21,139 freshman and 8,184 transfer applicants from California. Overall, 8,874 international and 6,464 U.S. out-of-state applicants were admitted as new freshman and transfer students.

California residents accept offers of admission and enroll at higher rates than U.S. domestic and international students.

Diversity and other measures

The proportion of those identifying themselves as being from historically underrepresented groups 鈥 African American, American Indian, Chicano/Latino and Pacific Islander 鈥 remained steady at about 31.2% among those admitted as California freshmen and increased slightly from 31.2% to 32.2% among U.S. domestic students admitted from California Community Colleges.

Among admitted California resident freshmen and California Community College transfers who reported demographic information, approximately 38% would be the first generation in their family to graduate from a four-year university, and 42% are from low-income families.

Total enrollment

Total fall enrollment 鈥 including undergraduate, graduate, professional students, and interns and residents 鈥 at all locations is expected to be approximately 41,500. 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis also tracks student population averaged over the three quarters of an academic year for implementing the 2018 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) forecast of 39,000 students at the Davis campus. Estimates indicate the LRDP three-quarter average will be approximately 37,200 students for the 2022-23 academic year.
