Friday (Sept. 18) brought The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings, in which 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis maintained its No. 5 ranking among public universities in the United States.

The week had begun with U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 鈥淏est Colleges鈥 report, in which 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis held onto the No. 11 ranking among public universities and achieved the No. 15 ranking for social mobility.

鈥淭here is no doubt we are in the conversation as one of the best universities in the country,鈥 Chancellor Gary S. May said. 鈥淚n ranking after ranking, we are showing up consistently near the top, and I鈥檓 confident that we鈥檒l continue to rise even more.鈥

The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education ranked more than 800 universities on the basis of 15 factors across four main categories: student outcomes, including graduates鈥 salaries and debt; academic resources, including how much the college spends on teaching; student engagement, including whether students feel prepared to use their education in the real world; and learning environment, including the diversity of the student body and academic staff.

澳门六合彩资料库 Davis, besides its top-5 ranking overall, also maintained its top-5 rankings, among public universities, in 22 fields of study, including agriculture and agricultural sciences (No. 1).

Other fields of study with top-5 rankings: natural resources and conservation; ethnic, cultural and gender studies; computer and information sciences; engineering; foreign languages, literatures and linguistics; family and consumer sciences/human sciences; English language and literature/letters; biological and biomedical sciences; mathematics and statistics; multi/interdisciplinary studies; philosophy and religious studies; physical sciences; psychology; social sciences; visual and performing arts; health professions and related programs; business management, marketing and related support services; and history.
