Provost's Forum and Chancellor's Colloquium

A Provost鈥檚 Forum this week will consider the university鈥檚 role in addressing climate change, while a Chancellor鈥檚 Colloquium next week will present dance company director Stephen Petronio for a talk about his unique language of movement.

鈥 鈥淭he University and the Public Good: What Should We Be Doing on Climate Change?鈥 鈥 Harvard University鈥檚 Naomi Oreskes, professor of the history of science, and affiliated professor of earth and planetary sciences, in the . The program is scheduled Friday (Feb. 21) in the multipurpose room at the Student Community Center: 3-4:30 p.m. lecture, 4:30-5:30 p.m. lecture.

鈥淐onfessions of a Motion Addict鈥 鈥 Petronio, artistic director of the Stephen Petronio Company, a New York City-based dance studio, has collaborated with musicians and artists from across the globe to create performances that explore new forms of dance, music, art and fashion. His talk in the is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Jackson Hall, Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. Reception immediately following.
