Page is among 13 academic scholars and state officials appointed to advise Newsom and state Department of Finance Director Keely Martin Bosler on wide-ranging economic issues.

The governor said in an announcement Friday (Feb. 21) that he sought policy recommendations on keeping California moving toward an economy that is inclusive, resilient and sustainable.

鈥淔or California to continue thriving, we need our economy to work for everyone in every corner of the state,鈥 he said. 鈥淥ur state is experiencing its longest economic expansion 鈥 with record-low unemployment [of] 3.9 percent, increases in personal income and billions in investments 鈥 but this expansion has unevenly benefited people across the state.鈥

Page is an expert on economic mobility in the United States, researching how families, the economy and social policies affect children鈥檚 likelihood of achieving economic success in adulthood.
