Patenting Nanotechnology Topic of Lecture

March 3, Thursday -- The virtues and difficulties of patenting nanotechnologies will be the topic of a lecture at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis by one of the nation's leading scholars on intellectual property. Mark Lemley, the William H. Neukom Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and director of its Program in Law, Science and Technology, will speak as part of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis School of Law's series on Law in the Information Age. Nanotechnology -- the new science looking at small-scale objects just a few atoms across -- holds promise for medicine, engineering and biology, and patent law will influence how this technology develops. Lemley's lecture, free and open to the public, begins at 4 p.m. in the Moot Court Room of King Hall.
