Oct. 23, Monday, 9-11 a.m. -- The public and news media are invited to tour the DC-8 flying laboratory currently visiting McClellan Park. The converted airliner, which is operated for NASA by the University of North Dakota, is used for a wide variety of research including pollution and atmospheric studies, climate and weather, satellite retrieval and space research. It is visiting McClellan for an extensive routine maintenance check, including work with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis' Aircraft Health Management Program. The aircraft is parked at the Jet Services Building at the end of Peacekeeper Way, off Watt Avenue, north of I-80. Visitors should wait at the Jet Services Building and will be escorted to the aircraft.
