Brief downtime for some computing services
Several °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis computing services will be briefly unavailable the evening of Thursday, April 14, while the campus improves its Central Authentication Service, or CAS.
Starting at 6 p.m. that day, Information and Educational Technology will cut over to a "high availability" version of CAS. The department has sent additional information to campus technologists about work they might need to do to prepare for the change.
Many computing services will be unavailable for a few minutes during the cutover. They include, but are not limited to, My°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿âDavis, SmartSite and Sympa. People who cannot access the services during the cutover should not have to do anything except wait a short period for access to resume.
Questions? Call the IT Express Computing Services Help Desk, (530) 754-HELP (4357).
