Nesrin Sarigul-Klijn, a °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis professor of mechanical and aeronautical engineering, can comment on the launch of "Spaceship One," the privately funded rocket that will attempt a record flight on June 21. Sarigul-Klijn has worked on similar designs for spacecraft launched from aircraft. She teaches undergraduate classes in rocket design and coordinates the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis SpaceEd graduate program in space engineering. She expects to attend the launch of Spaceship One from the Mojave Desert.
