March 5, Thursday — Six women from Central and Northern California who have made remarkable contributions to agriculture and their communities will be honored at ϲϿ Davis during a luncheon and awards ceremony, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Ballroom. The annual “Common Threads” program is sponsored jointly by the ϲϿ Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation. The keynote address will be delivered by Rita Schmidt Sudman, executive director of the Water Education Foundation. The event is open to the public, with pre-registration, costing $35 per person, due by Feb. 26. Registration at the event will be $50 per person.
