Feb. 12, Thursday -- "Metrosexuals" may be a new concept to some, but a London fashion scholar says these urban peacocks are just the latest in a fascinating history of alternative male fashion. Christopher Brewer, a cultural historian at the London College of Fashion and deputy director of research at the Victoria and Albert Museum, will speak at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis about the relationship between Teddy Boys and New Edwardians and 21st century male fashion subcultures. His talk, sponsored by Women and Gender Studies and Textiles and Clothing, takes place at 4 p.m. in 3201 Hart Hall, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis.
