Cheeto, a beloved campus cat, is the star of this year’s , created by Mark Deamer and Tobi Paton of Information and Educational Technology.

And you should, too, because , organized by Staff Assembly, is back in person, outside, on a hopefully sunny day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, on . Tents will be set up for shade, but sunhats and sunblock are also a good idea.

Staff Assembly, the organizer, will hold TGFS for alternate shift workers from 8 to 11 p.m. the night before, Tuesday, May 10, at .

TGFS week will conclude with a free drive-in movie for everyone at 8 p.m. Friday (May 13). Load the family into the car and head on out to the , to see Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The PG-rated movie runs for 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Lunch is served

Food trucks will serve lunch during the daytime event, which also will feature photo opportunities with Gunrock and dunking opportunities with Chancellor Gary S. May (in the dunk tank!), as well as photo booths and caricature artists. The Vendor and Sponsor Showcase will feature local businesses and campus departments offering information, deals and prizes.

Departments and units are taking sign-ups from people wishing to attend either event, daytime or nighttime.

TGFS also includes recreation events, some of which are still taking signups:

  • — Saturday, April 30. Register by April 16 to participate in our round-robin competition.
  • — Saturday, May 21. Register and pay online through May 6.
