The  team prides itself on playing the game the right way, emphasizing the fundamentals so student-athletes succeed on and off the field.

One former Aggie ballplayer, , played for the 2011 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals after putting up some of the best stats ever at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ¿â Davis.  about Descalso, the first Aggie position player to make the major leagues. On this year’s squad, left-handed pitcher  stellar performance has attracted  as the team heads into its final month of play.

Whether baseball or another sport, the  experience is open to everyone — spectators as well as participants. There are 23 varsity teams playing at venues such as ,  and the . Four years after a successful transition to Division I, student-athletes who play baseball and other sports continue to perform at a high level academically even as the level of athletic competition has risen.

The Aggies return home to host Cal Poly in a  starting today.  Games are at 2:30 p.m. today and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
