University Chorus and Chamber Singers at 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis are encouraging students, faculty, staff and community members to audition.
The University Chorus is looking for all ranges but especially tenors and basses for their spring quarter performance of Mozart鈥檚 Requiem. The Chamber Singers are seeking sopranos and altos only.
澳门六合彩资料库 Davis vocal ensembles give singers an opportunity to perform onstage in Jackson Hall at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The hall鈥檚 superb acoustics are renowned by numerous acclaimed musicians and vocalists who have performed there.
鈥淲hen you join our vocal ensembles, you make new friends who enjoy singing profound texts such as Mozart鈥檚 Requiem and performing exciting music,鈥 said Caleb Lewis, director of choirs. 鈥淲e also learn how to improve our singing voice and strengthen our musical skills. No previous experience is required.鈥
The University Chorus rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 to 6 p.m., and the Chamber Singers rehearse Mondays and Wednesdays 4 to 6 p.m. in the Music Building. Mozart鈥檚 Requiem is set for June 7 in Jackson Hall, and the Chamber Singers鈥 concert performs May 31 in the Ann E. Pitzer Center.

Feminist Research Institute seeking art
The Feminist Research Institute is calling all 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis students to partake in an upcoming art exhibition.
The Institute is seeking to create an artistic platform for undergraduate students at 澳门六合彩资料库 Davis to engage with feminist research as it pertains to intersectionality, inclusivity, justice, and transformation. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work in the context of these key elements, reaching the broader community through their artistic message as they engage with feminism. Potential topics for artists to address include environmental, racial, and reproductive justice, and other transformative, collective projects.
Submissions should be limited to a nondigital format due to space limitations. However, 2D and 3D works are welcome.
Please submit no more than three high-quality jpeg images of the work and a description that includes dimensions and medium, in order (e.g. File 1, File 2, File 3). File names must be in the format: last name_first name_year in school.
